Albany's Dimitri Yavis had a decision to make this spring. The former Albany Academy star was listed on the University of Massachusetts baseball roster, but decided to go out for spring football instead.Yavis, a 6-foot-6, 240- pound freshman, punted for the team last fall, but wanted to win a starting spot at defensive tackle. So, he passed up baseball.It appeared to be a good decision. The baseball team went on a southern trip without him and came home 1-14.But things have a funny way of turning around in sports.The UMass baseball team has won 11 of its last 12 games and is 12-15 heading into three weekend games with Rutgers.Yavis, on the other hand, is out of spring football with a broken arm suffered in practice."It was a clean …
